Karate is much more than just kicking, punching, and grappling. It is designed as a non-violent art system of the entire body practice and way of life. It includes physical and mental discipline with a deep philosophy. Through Karate, all practitioners benefit - PHYSICALLY - by developing good coordination, balance and a strong body. Mentally - by building self-confidence, discipline, self-control, good others, help others, be honest and always stand by the weak. This is a guide for the formation of outstanding character. By learning the Art of Karate and Self-Defense through our fun, unique, and carefully structured program, we will empower them with the tools necessary to excel and rise above any obstacle that they may encounter in their lifetime. What The Student Will learn! Karate teaches its students to defend themselves in all four major physical defense ranges: 1) Kicking, 2) Punching, 3) Trapping & Clinching, 4) Ground Grappling
The objective is to developed the skills, knowledge and confidence level of a student to the point that allows the student when confronted by physical threat, to respond effectively with the minimal but appropriate force. The student can also enjoy Karate as a lively and exhilarating competitive sport (belt advancement and trophies for competitive excellence).
